General Surgery
Kara A. Monday, MD, FACS completed her undergraduate and medical school education at Florida State University where she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha. She completed her residency training in General Surgery at Medstar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC, then entered the inaugural surgical critical care fellowship class at Baylor University Medical Center. She joined the Urgent Surgery Associates, PA, team in 2016 and is board certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care through the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Monday holds society memberships with the American College of Surgeons, Society of Critical Care Medicine, Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma and ELSO (Extracorporeal Life Support Organization). She is on the hospital sepsis and sepsis mortality committees and is the educational director for the ECMO committee, as well as director for the E-CPR efforts.
