David Luu, MD

David Luu, MD, was raised in Yukon, Oklahoma andis a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Oklahoma in Norman with a degree in Chemical Engineering. This was followed by medical school at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine where he earned his MD in 2014. He completed a residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center which was then followed by a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at Duke University and also obtained board certification in Advanced Transesophageal Echocardiography.

He is a staff intensivist in the cardiovascular and transplant ICU at Baylor University Medical Center and an assistant professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management with clinical work primarily at Parkland Health. He has an interest in teaching students, residents and fellows in the areas of anesthetics, ventilator management, echocardiography and mechanical circulatory devices.
